A few days ago a friend of ours agreed to look after Eli so that Dena and I could go away for a night. We actually had plans to do this on Valentines, but the wee guy became ill and we had to postpone. This time with a healthy son, Dena and I successfully left for our night away. We didn’t go far, staying the night in Bridge of Allan, a quaint and delightful town. One of the highlights of the trip was the next day when we spent some time hiking up Ben A’an, just outside of Callendar. Since I first drove through this area almost 2 years ago, I have loved it. There is something about the mountains in this region that I can’t get enough of. Ben A’n, though a small peak, was full of character and amazing views. Thanks to the sunny day, we even managed to get a bit of sun, which has been a feat for us this year. Here are a few photos from our day of fun.
