Last weekend Eli and I set out to have a Men’s Day Out. The weather forecast was for snow, which made us eager for a bit of sledding. As it turned out, the only precipitation we experienced was rain. Being true Odom men, we decided to roll with it and amend our plans. Off to Doune Castle we went! We had a great time exploring this fantastic old castle. I was surprised to find out that it is the site where much of Monty Pithon and the Holy Grail was filmed. But as much as we enjoyed the castle, the highlight (by far) for Eli was…jumping in muddy puddles on the castle grounds. Why not? He had his wellies, water proof trousers and coat. It was the perfect opportunity to run in, splash, and stomp through every single puddle in sight! Though we saw no snow, we had a fantastic time nonetheless.
