D and I had a great Memorial Day this year. We went to Wingaersheek Beach for the day with some friends. I grew up on the Gulf Coast where white sandy beaches surrounded by sand dunes and beautiful clear water was the norm. New England Beaches are far different. Rocky shores, freezing COLD water (compared to the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico) and grayish sand usually comprise a good New England Beach. But I must say, Wingaersheek Beach was gorgeous. The water is beautiful, the sand isn’t terribly bad and the scenery was amazing. It was a great day to spend with good friends. We had so much fun that we have decided to take a few trips this summer to various places around New England.

In honor of D and W!
